Artist Biography

Julie Bero-Emerson started painting with watercolors at the age of ten; painting landscapes of her small farming community located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in Northern NY. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The Rochester Institute of Technology in 1982. Over the last two decades her art has transformed from environmental to physical and abstract landscapes. She has incorporated various mediums including handmade paper, ink, graphite, natural pigments, clay, and often her own handwritten poems.

Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States and Eastern Canada, both in galleries and in private collections. She currently lives in Rochester, NY.
