Artist Biography

Julie Bero-Emerson started painting with watercolours at the age of ten; painting landscapes of her small farming community located in the foothills of the Tug Hill Plateau. She received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from The Rochester Institute of Technology in 1982. Over the last two decades her art has transformed from environmental to physical landscapes. She has incorporated new mediums including handmade paper, clay and threads. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States and Eastern Canada, both in galleries and in private collections. She currently lives in Brighton NY.
