I heard it calling me
Sweetly
Within it's branches
The pumping hearts were woven deeply
The piercing of it's flesh
Did not cause alarm
It was done so slowly
Wrapped in moments of time

As if we had no eyes to see
The soft subtle texture of it's skin
The warm color of bitten cherries
Dropping it's sweet liquor upon
