A Creative Way to Begin the New Year!

Sketchbooks, notebooks and journals, are ways of expressing ideas that are very personal. They hold thoughts that are sometimes grand and often times simple. We can be inspired by a walk in nature, a sound, a song, a piece of literature, a poem, a conversation, or a passing thought. We will explore these individually and have the opportunity to share with the group in a safe comfortable studio environment.

In this workshop, we will be using different watercolor techniques, graphite pencils, colored pencils, walnut ink, and ink pens, and different papers for added interest. These will help you to create your own work and aid you in expressing your personal style.

‍Whether you are new to art or an advanced artist, all are welcome.

I will provide the supplies needed, including some small multimedia sketchbooks approx. 7 × 10. However, you are welcome to bring your own, any size that feels comfortable to you.

Also, please bring anything that inspires you. It could be a favorite book, a poem, a song or music, an object, or an image. Please bring a snack or lunch and a beverage. I will have cold drinks, tea and some sweet treats for the end of session.
