Watercolor Workshop - Saturday January 11th, 2025

10:00 am - 2:00 pm.   Suite #215

$120.00

Watercolors are often considered a difficult medium, this isn’t necessarily true. Most of us grew up playing with those little plastic boxes of primary colors with stiff yellow brushes. In this day-long workshop, we will dispel the myths of the artform and elevate the materials of our youth. I will show you basic techniques that you can use to create your own work and allow you to express your personal style. We will start drawing as a template and advance to painting.

I will provide a large and colorful still life to use as a guide; however, I encourage you to bring any ideas that interest you. It can be a book, a place you love to visit, a podcast or song you listen to, or simply a feeling you wish to convey. You may bring a photograph to help guide your vision, but our focus will not be on copying the image, rather communicating the feeling it evokes. We will work together to help manifest your creativity!

I will also provide you with watercolor paper, paints, and brushes to use on this day. A list of supplies to purchase on your own, and the places to acquire them will be available after the workshop.

This is not your typical watercolor class! All are welcome to explore this medium in a great studio with no judgement, only creativity!

Please bring your own snack and anything you wish to drink throughout the day.

The price for this Workshop is $120. per person, all materials included. Everyone will leave with an archivally matted piece suitable for framing.
