In this workshop we work with a variety of different materials to create mixed media and collage pieces. The first part will be instructional for those new or just wanting a refresher course in basic painting and drawing techniques. Afterwards you will work independently with my guidance as needed.

We will explore different types of wet media such as watercolors, gouache, luminescent paints, and inks. We will use dry materials such as graphite, colored, pencils, and ink pens. There will be paper varieties of different weights and textures, watercolor paper, multicolored, handmade and rice papers.

This class is perfect for beginners to advanced students. All are welcome to attend!

I provide all the materials needed to explore and create. You are welcome and encouraged to bring anything that inspires you to add to your piece such as photographs, written text, material, etc. I will have some items here to work from as well. Everyone will leave with a piece suitable to frame!

Please bring a snack and beverage for your lunch. I will have tea and a sweet treat to share.
