Podcasts and Books Series

In January 2020, I started listening to and reading a variety of podcasts and books. These included discussions of the cosmos, poetry, human relationships, diversity in culture, ecology, and spirituality. The books I read took me deep into the structure and a new language of the earth. I was discovering the terrain of hidden caves, dolines, fissures and ruckles. Other books looked at mosses, ferns, woodlands, and creek beds.

I reflected on these and used watercolors, natural pigments, minerals, graphite, and ink on various papers to express my thoughts. This diversity of materials focusing on lines, forms, textures, and values allowed me to express my observations of landforms and the energies surrounding my environment.
